DESCRIPTION: Waltham Clock Co., Waltham, Mass., 9 tube hall clock, 8 day, time, strike and chime, weight driven movement playing Whittington, Westminster, or St. Michael's tune in mahogany case with six heavily beveled glasses. The silvered arched dial has applied brass numerals, finely cast spandrels and dial center, moonphase, selection for tunes or silent, and second's bit, c1918
CONDITION: the case retains its excellent original finish. The dial is in excellent condition with no flaking on the moon phase. The suspension spring on the pendulum is broken but present. The tubes are individually signed "WALTHAM CLOCK COMPANY". The original winding crank and keys are included. The large & robust Waltham 3-weight movement was perhaps the finest produced in the world.
